Belonging to Group II-III, the Prego Riofix is suitable for children weighing 15-36 kg and measuring 125-150 cm in height.
The Prego Riofix can be used with two different installation methods. In the first method, only the vehicle's 3-point seat belt is used. In the second method, the ISOFIX connectors are used together with the 3-point seat belt.
Make sure the seat belt passes through the green guide slot, that the lap belt is correctly positioned over the hip/pelvis area, and that the shoulder belt guide is level with the child's shoulder. The belt must not be twisted and should be snug enough to hold the child securely.
Since the cover is one of the safety elements of the car seat, the product must never be used without it. Harsh or abrasive cleaning agents should not be used during cleaning; the cover should be hand-washed with water and a mild soap.
Even if there is no visible damage, a car seat that has been exposed to high levels of stress in a severe accident must be replaced with a new one. The instructions also state that, because their history and the conditions they were exposed to may be unknown, second-hand car seats can pose a safety risk, and buying or selling second-hand products is not recommended.
